This piece illustrates the outside of the punk store, “Search & Destroy,” and restaurant, Kenka, while I was visiting my good friend in New York City. I think the piece shows a lot about the aesthetic of New York around the East Village, in all its grungy glory. The inherent misogyny and pedophilia of many sexual images used as a certain aesthetic are highlighted by the central red banner.
